Verified means we checked the information — nothing more, and nothing bought.

Payment never affects rankings or visibility

We do not sell placement, ordering, or prominence in any directory on this site. Search results are ordered by relevance and proximity for the person searching — never by who paid. A Verified badge tells you the listing's details were reviewed and confirmed. Unverified providers are listed alongside verified ones with equal visibility.

What the annual fee covers

Providers may pay an annual verification fee. It funds the staff time it takes to check and maintain the information — it does not buy preference.

License verification

Where applicable, we confirm state licensure or certification is active and in good standing.

Contact verification

Phone numbers, emails, and intake lines are called or emailed and confirmed to reach a real person.

Address verification

Physical locations are confirmed, including which campus or site accepts intakes.

Service verification

Levels of care, populations served, payment options, and admission requirements are confirmed as described.

Annual review

Every verified listing is re-reviewed each year, and sooner if we receive a report of incorrect information.

Updated information

Verified providers can submit changes any time and we update the public listing promptly.

Ethical listing standards

Verified providers commit in writing to these standards. Verification is revoked — with no refund — if they are violated.

Accurate, non-misleading descriptions of services and cost.
No patient brokering, kickbacks, or paid referral arrangements.
Clear disclosure of what is and is not covered by payment or insurance.
Respectful, non-predatory marketing toward people in crisis.
Prompt correction of any listing detail found to be inaccurate.

What verification is not

White Owl Rising does not recommend, rank, or endorse any provider. A Verified badge is a statement about information accuracy, not quality of care. Always do your own research.

Not permanent

Verification expires annually. If we can't re-confirm the details, the badge comes off — the listing itself stays, because people still need to know the resource exists.
