White Owl Rising exists to help people rise. Everyone who uses this app — whether they are on day one or year twenty — deserves a space that feels safe, honest, and welcoming. These guidelines apply to submissions, stories, messages, and anything else shared through the app.

What we encourage

  • Kindness — assume the best about the person on the other side of the screen.
  • Respect — different paths, faiths, backgrounds, and recovery programs are all welcome here.
  • Recovery — share experience, strength, and hope rather than judgment.
  • Hope — celebrate progress, no matter how small the step.
  • Accuracy — share resource information you believe is true and current.
  • Anonymity — protect other people's privacy and recovery status as carefully as your own.

What is prohibited

The following are not allowed anywhere in White Owl Rising:

  • Hate speech — attacks or slurs based on race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
  • Harassment — bullying, threats, stalking, doxxing, or targeting an individual.
  • Illegal activity — anything that breaks the law or helps someone else break it.
  • Drug sales — buying, selling, sourcing, or advertising drugs, alcohol, or paraphernalia.
  • Violence — threats of violence, self-harm encouragement, or graphic violent content.
  • Spam — repetitive posts, irrelevant promotion, or bulk solicitation.
  • Fraud — false listings, impersonation, scams, phishing, or deceptive fundraising.

How we enforce them

We review submissions before they are published and we remove content that breaks these rules. Depending on severity, we may edit a listing, remove it, decline future submissions from a source, or report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities.

Report a problem

If you see something that violates these guidelines, or a listing that is unsafe or incorrect, tell us at whiteowlrisingofficial@gmail.com or through the Contact page. We take every report seriously.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 first — see Emergency Resources.
